Leavenworth 2008 Street Reconstruction Project
This street reconstruction and utilities project took place downtown of Leavenworth. Pipkin was successful in keeping downtown businesses open and traffic flowing during deep in-street utility work and restoration. The project involved: over 1,000 LF of 12″ – 30″ HDPE storm drain pipe with 27 catch basins, 1,500 LF of 12″ ductile iron water pipe, and 840 LF of 8-10″ PVC sanitary sewer pipe. The street improvements that were completed: new HMA pavement, over 5,000 LF of curb and gutter, decorative sidewalk pavers, landscaping, signage, striping, and a block retaining wall.
